Meet Richard J. Thomas

Richard J. Thomas earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland. He continued his academic pursuits and earned a Master's in Business Administration concentrating in Finance from the University of Baltimore. Concurrently, he attended the University of South Carolina earning a Juris Doctorate. Soon thereafter, he obtained a certificate in Mediation.

An Experienced Accountant

Richard J. Thomas began his career as an accountant in a small accounting firm, eventually moving to the Federal Government. After a few years, Mr. Thomas went to a manufacturing company and excelled. He became the manager shortly after arriving. While attending law school, he started The Thomas Firm, Inc. with the goal of helping businesses excel. He keeps current with new financial applications and programs including becoming a certified QuickBooks instructor.

Richard J. Thomas believes in giving back to the community that helped shape him. Richard volunteers at various organizations such as the Beacon House in NE DC, the Humane Society and Meals on Wheels.
He is a member of Covenant Baptist Church in SE DC. Richard also regularly donates blood to
children's hospital.
